Engaging Employees: An Analyst Center of Excellence Strategy

By Renee Saint-Louis

My husband was recently promoted at his job. His first day at his new job he came home with a book he was required to read. I read the title and immediately snatched it from his hands and stated I would read it as well. I was surprised, impressed, and excited that his new position would require such fascinating reading. The book: First Break All the Rules: What the World's Greatest Managers Do Differently by Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman. I was even more impressed to find out that employees weren't just required to read the book, but were asked to participate in study groups with top executives who encouraged employees to be honest and vocal about how the organization could improve employee satisfaction.

This two part article series will explore how an Analyst Center of Excellence can utilize the principles discussed in this book to drive employee engagement throughout an analyst organization.
