HELP! Why are reporting requirements so difficult. The user seems to need to see the report before they can tell me what they need. Does anyone have any comments, suggestions to make this process easier.
This is a very simple and concise approach. I took this on board while designing a template for obtaining report requirements.
The form has been designed specifically so that the business person defining their requirement will THINK about what they are trying to achieve with the report and who will use it BEFORE defining the fields and sorting criteria.
