Cornerstone Article published July 9 --- Agility, Business Rules, New Role for Business Analysts
An article referred to as a cornerstone article by the Editor has been published recently (as previously announced). It is called "The Rule Maturity Model: Five Steps to an Agile Enterprise." Its description by the Editor is:
"Business rules can be used to implement competitive strategy, promote and enforce policy, and ensure compliance, but most organizations aren't even aware of the rules that are buried in code, forgotten in old documents and stuck in people's heads. The Rule Maturity Model offers a step-by-step approach to capturing, managing and mastering rules while investing appropriately for your competitive climate. So, where is your firm on the maturity scale?"
It discusses five levels of maturity and includes real-world case studies from organizations that are leaders in their field. As the level of maturity increases, the role of the business analyst changes.
Please share questions you may have about any of the case studies and I will see if I can get the authors of those case studies to participate in the "Business Rules Chat."
