Solution Assessment and Validation KA
The "1.7" draft of the Solution Assessment and Validation KA is now available for download by IIBA members.
This content was completed after the creation of the CBAP exam and was not designed using the exam content as a reference. If you are studying for the exam you should continue to use version 1.6 as the basis for your study.
This KA does not reflect the changes made to the structure of the BABOK for version 2.0. We will be releasing an overview of those changes in the very near future. However, since this material has been reviewed by BA practitioners and since the existing content doesn't provide a lot of detail in this KA, we felt that IIBA members who use the BABOK as a professional reference or for other purposes would benefit from having access to the draft.

Members-only content
No, it isn't.
Future releases of the BABOK will not be available for free to people who are not IIBA members. This has always been our intention. 1.6 would have been members-only (this was our original intention) but under ISO 17024 we are required to have a way for non-members to gain access to the information they require for certification by the IIBA, and we did not have a channel in place to charge a fee for access (nor did we feel that that version was robust enough to justify it).
Just to make sure it's clear, IIBA members will continue to be able to download the BABOK for free as a benefit of membership.
This material wasn't used to develop the certification exam and so ISO 17024 doesn't apply. Given that our members have generously suppported the IIBA for years with their membership fees, giving them some concrete benefits in return has become a priority for us.
