As part of my project (management reporting which sees the implementation of a reporting tool) I am now to produce a product description for data cleansing as the source database contains dirty data.

Any advice on how to approach this. Can anyone provide me with a sample to help guide me in this process?

I have to gather report requirements from an end user (Finance), what are all the aspects /process / procedure do i have to follow when gathering the requirements from the user.

HELP! Why are reporting requirements so difficult. The user seems to need to see the report before they can tell me what they need. Does anyone have any comments, suggestions to make this process easier.
